Description
王翬（西元1632-1717年），字石谷，號耕煙散人、烏目山人、劍門樵客、清暉主人。少即善畫，繼得王鑑、王時敏指授，並隨之閱覽各地珍藏，藉機臨摹名蹟，因能筆參古今，貌含南北。畫技之精熟為清代第一。陶潛「桃花源記」有「緣溪行，忘路之遠近，忽逢桃花林，夾岸數百步…」此圖所繪，彷彿如是。作者自題背臨自元代趙孟頫「桃花漁艇圖」。按趙孟頫故鄉浙江吳興有霅溪，霅溪源頭亦有桃花林，趙孟頫曾有歸隱於此之念，並比喻如「桃花源」，遂有「花谿漁隱」題材之產生。
